Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Toles

Jerry Toles: born 1831 near Cincinnati Ohio - orphaned. Moved to Mattoon. Coles Co. Ill where he published the Mattoon Advertiser. Married Sarah Catherine "Kate" McMunn 30 Oct. 1861 in Mattoon, Ill. (The photo is from a Mattoon studio and may have been taken shortly after they were married )
Three daughters Gertrude, Trilla and Mabel (my grandmother). The 1880 census places the family in Kansas City, MO. In the 1990's moved to San Diego, CA and later to Los Angeles. Jerry was involved in Banking. Mabel died about 1920 followed by Jerry in 1929.
